I went to a store the other day to pick up a few items. They
didn’t have exactly what I needed so I had to go to another store. When I
walked into the other store I was totally blessed. There was a man I hadn’t seen in many years.
He is a dear brother in the Lord and a friend as well. We quickly caught up, exchanged phone numbers
and were on our way. I started thinking about what had just happened and how my
attitude was frustration instead of flexibility. God had a different plan for my early morning,
I asked Him to forgive me.
I don’t think I am unique from the aspect that we make our plans, but then certain events come into play and our day changes right out of the gate. At times that change in our plans can bring about
frustration. Proverbs 16:9 states, “A man’s heart plans his way but the Lord directs his steps.” We should make plans and not live our life haphazardly, but make them with the understanding that they may change. At times God may interrupt our day to protect us from harm. He may also reorganize our day because we have made our plans without seeking Him at all and He desires to use us to accomplish His perfect plan and will. He may intervene in our plans because He wants to bless us in a very special way, which is what happened to me.That incident was a good reminder
for me and I trust for you as well. When
interruptions come, may we see them all as God ordained or allowed and that He
is working in that interruption because, He works all things according to the counsel of His will. Psalm 139:16 states, “Your eyes saw my substance being yet
unformed. And in Your book, they all were written, the days fashioned for me,
when as yet there were none of them.
Have a wonderful week being flexible, watching and waiting
for a God ordained interruption.
